Several eBay stores: how the shared monthly new-listing allowance works

SellerLibrary1 min read

The monthly new-listing allowance is per user, and all your stores share it. What uses it and what doesn't, how it differs from eBay's own limits, and where to see what's left.

When you connect several eBay stores, each keeps its own policies, location and alerts. The new-listing allowance, though, is per user, not per store.

What uses the allowance?

  • Each new listing that goes live uses one, whichever store it's published in.
  • Updating a live listing's price, stock or content doesn't use any.
  • A listing eBay refuses doesn't count.
  • Research, ASIN collection and preparing drafts don't use any.

When does it renew?

The allowance refreshes when your usage month renews. What's used and left, with the month's start and end dates, shows in Settings › My package; the publishing screen also shows what's left before you send.

Alerts

You get an in-site notification when most of your allowance is used and when it runs out. You can filter the notification centre by store and see general notifications on their own.

How it differs from eBay's limits

eBay's selling limit and daily limits belong to each store and are separate from your SellerLibrary package. When one store's eBay limit fills, publishing in that store waits and says why; your other stores and your monthly allowance aren't affected.

Adding a store doesn't raise the monthly allowance. Each package's allowance, tracking and store capacity are on the Pricing page, and common questions on the FAQ page.

Common questions

With two stores, do I get double the allowance?

No. The allowance is per user; all your stores share the same monthly allowance.

What happens when my allowance runs out?

No new listing can be published until your usage month renews; you can keep updating your live listings.
